Hockey, Bluebonnets, Paige's Lake Weekend, & Bryan goes to DC
So, this post takes us to the middle of April. Bryan has been playing a lot of hockey lately, but most of his games are late at night, so we took advantage of his Sunday afternoon game to go watch him play...the kids were decked out in their Dallas Stars gear. Then, my yearly attempt at pictures in the bluebonnets...some turned out ok...I think Bryce smashed down a lot of them while stomping around...oops :( Then, Paige had a weekend at the lake with several of her friends, and us. Her friends and Macy had a great time flying kites since it was so windy...it was perfect kite weather! Soon after, Bryan went out of town to Washington DC for a few days to lobby for dentisty. I know I'm still way behind, but I plan to catch up soon on this blog :)
Easter 2010
The weekend before Easter we took Macy & Bryce to see Disney on Ice...for some reason I didn't take pictures...probably because Bryce was freaking out most of the time. We still had fun...it was sort of a girl's day except for Bryce (Mimi, PaiPai, Nana, me, Macy & Bryce). Macy loved to see the princesses, especially Ariel! Then...Easter...we had lots of fun Easter egg hunts and parties. I took Macy & Bryce to the church where Bryce goes to Mother's Day Out for a big Easter egg hunt...they had a blast! Macy helped Bryce hunt, it was very sweet! After we got home, Macy went outside and hid her eggs over & over again. Then, Macy had her class Easter party & egg hunt. Then, on Easter weekend, we went out to the lake with all our family and had a great time! The kids had another big egg hunt there! The guys (Bryan, Grandad & Potsy) have been obsessive with bonfires out at the lake, and this weekend was no exception :) We had a chair that was very old and broken and Paige sat on it during the weekend and it finally gave out...I have a funny picture of that below :) So, the guys decided it would be great to throw the chair into the bonfire...I don't know what it was made of, but it burned so bright I could see it through my closed eyelids when I was trying to sleep in the house that night...I jumped up & looked out the window expecting the whole yard to be on fire...but of course, it was just the guys playing with fire :)
