Macy at 15 months :)

Macy is such a big girl now! She is babbling up a storm. She has a big vocabulary now, mostly "b" words. She can say ball, bird, blanket, baby, bath, bottle, bye-bye, ah-oh, hi, and many more that we haven't quite figured out yet. She is a busy little bee all the time, it's so funny to watch her play. At school, she walks around and gives toys to the other kids and takes toys on and off the shelf. She's so serious when she plays, too, like she's on an important mission. At home, she likes to play with her baby dolls and will put them in the stroller and feed them a bottle (she even makes sucking sounds)! I've added a sleeping picture since I haven't posted one of those since she was tiny. She's so smart (you like the picture with the glasses?) at school, they said she plays with a duck that sings "You are my sunshine" and the toy broke, but one day they were playing a CD in class that had that song on it and she went over and found the duck that plays that song and brought it to the teacher:) My smart, sweet girl!! I had to add the fussy picture to show Macy's "other" side...the funny thing is, I took the other picture next to it 2 minutes later, you can't even tell she was upset! Finally, I just had to show what Daddy is up to today...he's got the kitchen torn up...cutting holes in the ceiling...installing new lights...Daddy the handyman! :)

Zoo Times Two!

We went to the zoo again today! This time we went to the Dallas Zoo and it was Macy, Mommy and some of Mommy's friends from college and their kids (Lisa and Caden, Alexis and Luke). There were lots of fun photo ops there and Macy had a blast! At the end of the day, we all played in the water in the children's zoo area. Once again, Macy loved the birds and she "roared" when we looked at the elephants. At the bottom are a couple other pictures taken earlier this week. Aunt Paige is still living it up in Italy and Macy misses her! One picture was taken when Macy had just woken up from a nap...she seems to always be in a great mood when she first wakes up!

Fun at the Zoo!

We've had a busy week since I last wrote. Thursday we had a going away dinner for Paige at Pappasito's. Paige left for Italy on Sunday and will be gone for 3 weeks...we'll miss her...and we're all very jealous :) We went out to Weatherford this weekend and spent Friday night with the Mulkey's...we had fun and Macy actually did pretty good sleeping away from home. On Saturday, we got up and ate lunch at Reata in downtown Ft. Worth, then went to the Ft. Worth Zoo. We met Kurt, Holly and their babies, Isabella and Brooklyn, and Dave and his daughter Campbell. We all had a great time! Macy really loved the flamingos and the bird exhibit. In the bird exhibit, there are thousands of birds flying around in this netted area and we had birdseed

on-a-stick to feed them. They would actually fly up and land on your stick, Macy loved it. The close-up picture of Macy in the stroller is her looking at the flamingos.

Water Baby

Macy helped Mommy wash her car this past weekend...she was sooo cute running around in her bikini! She hates to wear sunglasses or anything on her head for that matter, but this day she kept trying to put the sunglasses on her head...usually the wrong direction. She had a great time! We can't wait for swimming weather! Mommy and Daddy made it out to the Byron Nelson golf tournament this past week and had a great time! Macy has gotten to spend some quality time with both Mimi and Nana this week while they babysat her. Macy has been sick again with another ear infection (or maybe the last one never went away...who knows). Anyway, poor baby has had enough of being sick...I think we're going to get tubes in her ears soon. Apparently it can be a miracle cure for babies who have as many ear infections as she does and it's a quick day surgery. We'll keep everyone informed when we decide to do it. The pictures at the bottom are from Macy playing in her play loft. She has recently decided that she wants to use her baby swing again...she likes to get in it and watch the bird mobile thing twirl around. She also discovered cheetos that day and was chomping on some.
