The Many Faces of Macy :)

Macy has been cracking us up the past couple weeks! She makes these hilarious faces we like to call "crazy eyes". You just say "Macy, show us your crazy eyes!" and you'll get some variation of the 1st 3 pictures below. In the top one, she has a mouth full of Teddy Grahams and you can see her big teeth :) The "crazy eyes" look also includes a funny contortion with her mouth. She got a sandbox from Nana and Grandad a couple weeks ago and she loves to play with it...however, she is a VERY clean girl...she will not get in the sandbox, only stand beside it...and she plays with the shovel...she doesn't like the sand to get on her hands :) Macy has been sick again...another mild ear infection and a stomach virus, but is getting much better now. She still loves to pet and cuddle with Emma (see below)...I can't get enough pictures of them together!

A big girl Easter!

Macy had a fantastic Easter! She is an Easter egg hunting champ! Macy had 3 egg hunts this year...one at school, one at Mimi and Poppy's, and one out at Aunt Pat and Uncle Butch's. Apparently, she caught on right away at school and walked around with her basket picking up eggs. The teacher said she had to follow behind her and keep putting the eggs back in her basket because she would dump them out and not notice. Then, the night before Easter she hunted at Mimi and Poppy's and also had a great time. After she got tired of finding the eggs, she sat down with her basket and started opening the eggs up...they were empty (we didn't realize at 13 months she would open them up and want treats)...she looked up at us like, "Where's the good stuff?" Aunt Paige said, "It's all a sham, Macy!" Macy braved the cold weather on Sunday to hunt eggs one last time and raked in quite a haul. She is still playing around the house with her basket and eggs. Last Tuesday, Macy had her tear duct probed in her right eye. Luckily, daddy was there to accompany her for the procedure. Mommy waited outside...daddy said it was NO fun at all...but on the bright side, her eye looks a whole lot better! Macy's lastest word is "ah-oh"...like when she drops something...it's very cute! She loves to play outside now...hope this cold weather ends soon...she stands at the back door and cries because she wants to go out and play. She recognizes birds and points to them and says "bord". One of her favorite things to play with right now are doors...she loves to open and shut them (picture below).

Easter Bunny

We had Macy's picture taken with the Easter Bunny on Saturday. This was the best shot, it only got worse from here...Macy immediately turned red and went into "meltdown" after this shot was taken! Aunt Paige pointed out that she looks like such a big girl in this picture...her legs look so long in that dress! We have several Easter Egg Hunts coming up the rest of the week...we'll be sure to take lots of pictures and post them soon:) P.S. Look back at the Apr 06 postings and compare the 2 pictures...such a huge difference a year makes!
