All About Daddy!!

Well, it has definitely been all about Daddy for the past few weeks...first, his birthday, then Father's Day! For Father's Day we all went to Lone Star Park for the horse races and a nice lunch...Macy loved watching the "Eee Eees run fast". We gambled a little, but no big winners. Macy loved seeing all of her grandparents and Aunt PaiPai that day. For Daddy's birthday, we had a fun dinner night with all the family at Joe's Crabshack...Daddy got a pretty cool gift that Macy will also really enjoy...a night at Great Wolf Lodge and to play in the indoor water park that's there! We can't wait for that! Macy and I went to some fun birthday parties for some of her friends at school...another Pump It Up bounce house party and a swim party. Macy also just completed a two-week swim lesson...she did pretty well besides the very first lesson where she cried the entire time! We've been practicing her new skills in our pool, her favorite thing is to jump in off the side of the pool. I had mentioned in a previous blog that Macy has revealed baby brother's name, so I included a video of her saying it. We've had quite a week this week with Dr visits and such...Macy has had a lingering cough and we went to get it checked out and she was on her way toward getting pneumonia...luckily a few antibiotic doses later and she's feeling much better. Then, we had a scare a couple nights ago with a lot of contractions in the middle of the night and were worried I was going into labor early...got checked out the next day and everything seems to be fine...whew!! Anyways, we're getting pumped about the big 4th of July weekend coming up...I'm sure Macy will really enjoy the fireworks this year!

Mother's Day, Zoo and More

Once again, I waited forever to post and have so many pictures/videos to choose from and soooo much to talk about! Since the last time, we celebrated Mother's Day...on Sunday, Mimi/Poppy/Pai Pai came over and we all swam, played and ate a yummy dinner that Bryan and Paige cooked. Bryan and Poppy were flying kites in the backyard...that is what Macy and Mimi are looking up at in the picture. For Nana, we went to the Fort Worth Zoo later that week as a Mother's Day celebration/Zoo day...Grandad came too (his first time to the zoo in ~20-30 years!) Both of these Mother's Day events were so much fun! We've been swimming a lot now that the pool has warmed up...and Macy will start swim lessons next week! Speaking of swimming, please disregard the fat pregnant lady :) in the video of Macy dancing...I was still in my bathing suit and didn't realize I was in the picture that much...had to post it anyway since Macy was sooo funny (had to break the clip into 2 parts since it was so big)! She gets this way late at night before bedtime...like a final blast of energy before she crashes...we had so much fun dancing to some of our "old school" CDs that we dug up! I also added some video of Macy riding her Dora car on Mother's Day and another recent "Row Row" video (I can't get enough "Row Row")...I finally figured out where she gets all the strange parts to the song, at school they listen to a book on tape with different versions of Row, Row, Row your boat and the bears in the boat are eating at one point (the hands to mouth part) and they fall out of the boat and say "AHHHHHH!" (I found all this out at her parent-teacher conference recently). There are some pictures from a Crawfish Boil we went to in April that one of our friends recently sent us, couldn't pass up posting these since Macy was so adorable in her ponytails and we got a few good family photos there. Macy finally got her "big girl bed" and furniture a couple weekends ago and is so excited to sleep in her bed...she has been waking up once every night so far, but we're hoping she will start sleeping through the night again soon. Since her furniture came, we moved her old crib and stuff into baby brother's room...Paige came over one night and she and Bryan (with a little "help" from Macy) painted his room. We still have a lot of touch ups and things to do, but the colors look great and his bedding is so cute! We had Bryan's family over again for swimming and a cookout for Memorial Day. Macy has now revealed baby brother's name to the family. I won't post it yet...I'll try to add a video of her soon saying his name. We've gone to a bounce house birthday party this past weekend for Macy's friend, Ethan....and this Saturday we have 2 more birthday parties for 2 of her classmates! Speaking of birthdays, Bryan's is tomorrow!!! We are planning a fun dinner night and hopefully I'll have some pics to post of that soon. Now, to explain some of the pictures near the bottom of the page...Macy was eating chocolate pudding one day and made a huge, funny mess...Macy still loves to play with her "babies" which includes dolls and stuffed animals, she will line them up anywhere she can or lay them out each on one stair and play "naptime" or "school", it's very cute...she also has this weird obsession about trying to put her blow-up dinosaur toy on Emma like it's riding a horsey, she thinks it's the funniest thing to chase her around and torture her with it.
