Happy Birthday, Princess!

Today is Macy's 1st Birthday! I haven't blogged in quite a while...so this will be packed with pictures and updates! First of all, Macy has started walking! Back in early January, she started taking 1-2 steps without holding on, but they were very wobbly and she would fall. Now, as of last night, she is much braver and steadier and can take 7-8 steps! Soon enough she will be walking everywhere! Macy has also gotten so much more interactive...she claps...well, sort of...she flaps her arms up and down and says "Aaaay"...she started doing this when we clapped and said "yay" when she stacked a toy the right way, etc...and now anything she does, she "claps" and looks at us to make sure we noticed and are clapping, too. She is learning sign language at school and is really good at saying "milk", which now also means "give me that", "pick me up"...basically everything is "milk" to her! On a sad note, Macy has basically been sick since she started school in January, we've had her on 3 antibiotics and she's had this lingering cough and had 2 ear infections...we can't wait for warmer weather and a healthier baby! Macy got her 1st tooth on Jan 15 and her next one soon after...daddy is so proud! She also got bitten on the arm at school one day...we still haven't figured out which kid it was, but we know he has 5 teeth...we just need to do a little CSI work to figure it out...maybe she can bite him back soon :) Macy also learned to climb all the way upstairs all by herself...she was out of my sight for a few seconds, then I couldn't find her, panicked, then heard her voice, when I got upstairs, there she was just smiling and playing with her toys! We got the gates installed very quickly after that:) Speaking of climbing...she climbs on anything and everything...her favorite new place to explore is the pantry! She also went to her 1st 2 Superbowl parties and raked in $160 on the "squares" game...we were so proud! Macy's picture is now finally up on the wall at Chuck's Cheeseburgers...we had to go check it out the other day and of course take pictures...of the picture! Then, this past Sunday we had a family party for Macy's birthday...she got so many cool new toys!

She also had her first Valentine's and got a lovely rose from daddy. She has been soooo sweet with Emma lately...she crawls over to her and lays her head on her or tries to kiss her...it's the cutest thing! Emma doesn't seem to mind at all.
