Here comes Santa Claus!
We've been busy this December! Last night we went to "Santa's Village" in Richardson and got Macy's picture taken with Santa Claus. She also met Mrs. Claus who gave her a cookie! There are a couple cute pictures of Macy sitting under our Christmas tree. Last weekend we had a big Christmas party at our house for Nana's side of the family...there are a few pictures below. Poppy's birthday was the 7th and Nana's was the 10th. Macy is standing and pulling herself up like a champ now...she has even been found on a couple occassions on the 2nd or 3rd step (looks like we need more gates fast!)...she's taken a few wobbly steps behind a walker toy and has side stepped all the way down the couch! This little girl is on the move! One of her favorite places to stand is at the dishwasher anytime mom has it open...see below. On a less fun note, we had a Dr. visit and some tests earlier this month and discovered Macy has a reflux problem with her kidneys...they say there's a chance she'll grow out of it, but if not she may need surgery when she's a little older. She will be taking daily low-dose antibiotics in the meantime to ward off any infections so that she doesn't get any kidney damage. She will have to go have the tests done every year and it's not very fun...they had to hold her down and catheterize her :( Poor thing:(
Also, the nanny (Veronica) , just got married and found out she's pregnant and is quitting...but we also just found out that Macy will get into this awesome preschool starting in January...we've been on a waiting list forever and it's a great school! They teach baby sign language and they have video cameras so that we can watch Macy anytime online...she'll only be there about 3 days per week...mommy still wants to stay home with her a couple days a week...but she'll be making lots of new friends at school.
